Online Counseling for Military Spouses in Louisiana, Hawaii, Florida, & Colorado
When you married your spouse, you knew that the military would play a large role in your family life. You prepared yourself as best you could for what being a military family would mean. You knew it would be hard, but you had no idea how challenging military life would be. You used to feel like you had control over your life and the goals you had for your future. But, those dreams for yourself feel like sand slipping through your fingers. Your spouse is the service member but, it feels like the military directs and dictates your life too. The career that you worked so hard for has become non-existent after adding children to your family and moving to a new base like Schofield Barracks, Pearl Harbor/Hickam Base, and Barber's Point every few months.
It is Hard to be a Military Spouse
Most days you feel on edge, and find yourself snapping at your husband or kids. You recently moved to this new duty station and haven’t been able to make many new friends yet. Your friends and family are spread out across the country. There is only so much support they can offer from a distance. So you find yourself feeling isolated, alone, and empty. You don't feel like yourself. You want to feel happy and find purpose again. It is important to take care of yourself, even when you are taking care of everyone else. Life as a military family is stressful, but it doesn’t have to control your life. You still can have your own voice, your own dreams, and your own goals. Let’s discuss how online therapy for military spouses can help you achieve your goals!
